Learn to surf the ocean on a nice sandy shoreline. Marty Olson August 10th Night paddle - Thea Foss Waterway, 7:30 pm. Jenny Berlin August 17-19th South Gulf Islands camping trip. Catch 8:00 AM ferry out of Tsawassen to Swarts bay. It is a good idea to go up Thursday night and stay at the "Park Canada Campground" which is close to the ferry terminal. We will be doing a "walk on" onto the ferry so wheels are a must. Contact Oskar Hintz for a more detailed hand out. July 2001 July 4-7th. Marty and Sally Olson still have room at the group campsite at Fort Ebey on Whidbey Island. There are lots of kayaking options including Deception Pass! Also, mountain biking and hiking. They will be arriving on the 4th and leaving on the 7th, so if any of these days fit your schedule call Marty or Sally. July 13th Friday Night Paddle - Phil will be leading another trip down the Tacoma waterway near the Emerald Queen Casino. Meet by the casino employees parking lot (first lot on the south) at 7:15 pm and he will lead to the launch spot. Phil Lynch July 28th Launch from Hood Head on Hood Canal at noon. Launching will be at 10 am and trip leaders are still Sal and Marty Olson. NOTE FOLLOWING CHANGE FROM NEWSLETTER: April 27-28th Yellow Island. Leave Thursday after work and camp in Anacortes City Park. Friday morning, take the 6:10 am ferry to Friday Harbor and paddle up to Jones Island, where we will camp. Wheels are necessary.
