Superdoc's Recommended Medicine Resources
Resource Lists and Compendia
Check out
the new Physicians' Online! Their new network is
web-based and uses a proprietary Netscape 3.0 browser to
access the content. It works much better than the old
P.O.L. You can access it through their proprietary
dial-up access, or through your present internet
provider. To obtain the free software, call 800-332-0009.
- Medical
Matrix-This is the comprehensive listing of Clinical
Medicine Resources on the Internet. Not the best place to
start, unless you are looking for something specific, or
esoteric-because the list is so long....
- Virtual
Medical Center-This is an extensive resource on
Medical Multimedia Education. Browse it when you have lots
of time. It is an extensive database with thousands

acute manic episode.(grin)

- The MMWR (Morbidity
and Mortality Weekly Report) is available from the CDC in
electronic form each Friday. Comment:The MMWR is
sent in Adobe Acrobat format, and you will need to
download and install the free software program to read
it. It does offer some advantages, but it seems to me
backward to handle electronic information as though it
were sheets of paper that you turn with a little hand.
See what you think.
