Icebreaking Thunderbird

This winter, 2007, Gig Harbor froze over with about half an inch of ice on the northern half of the bay.  A rarity that your intrepid Fleet 1 captain and crew had to investigate.  I found that even ice this thin was deceptively difficult to break through, and it made quite a racket as you did.  I was glad to get back to my slip.  Thanks to Gerry Dryer for the great photo.
